One evening, owners Chris and Tony were out having dinner with Chris’ daughter, Mia. Later, over a fantastic baklava, they lamented about how hard it was to find exceptional classic desserts anymore. Not extravagant over-the-top creations, but the traditions perfected. Mia’s joy over her chocolate soufflé made Chris and Tony take note of how much pleasure a good dessert was capable of delivering, and a delicious venture was born. They chose the name Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery as an homage to Mia’s delight and their beloved city–authentic and from the heart, just like their baking.
